We’re a Redcliffe-based brokerage helping businesses and not-for-profits across Australia get properly covered. Policy wordings, exclusions, contract clauses, claims — the parts of insurance most people dread are the parts we genuinely enjoy. That’s the whole point of us.
OUR STORY
Broking the way it should be done
Aweso Insurance Brokers was built on a simple observation: too many businesses hold policies they don’t understand, arranged by people they never hear from — until the premium goes up or a claim goes wrong.
Aweso Insurance was founded in January 2017 by Grant Mason, after 25 years in the insurance industry spanning underwriting, claims handling and broking. Having seen insurance from every side of the desk, Grant kept running into the same problem: cover arranged around what suited the insurer, with businesses told how to operate to fit the policy. He believed there was a better way — insurance built around what a business actually does, not a policy that dictates how it should be run.
The office has always been in South East Queensland, and for the past two years we’ve been based in Redcliffe — though we look after clients right across Australia.
Above all, we’re a business ourselves, working with fellow business owners. We know what it’s like to quote the work, chase the invoices, make payroll and wear every hat — and that’s exactly how we treat your insurance: as one business owner looking after another.
We work with organisations of every size — sole traders, growing companies, charities, clubs and NDIS providers — and the approach never changes: understand the operation first, compare the market properly, explain everything in plain English, and be the first phone call when something goes wrong.
As part of the Better Broker Network, we combine the personal service of a local brokerage with the market access and resources of a national group — so you get a broker who knows your name, backed by the buying power to place your risk well. We’re also part of the Steadfast Group network — the largest general insurance broker network in Australasia — giving our clients access to Steadfast network services and market strength well beyond our size.
